SE Corporation is the master developer of the first truly mixed use project, Dos Lagos, in Riverside County. The Dos Lagos site was considered too risky to most developers; the site of an abandoned mine and dumping field, the site was considered a hazard for even industrial development. However, Mr. Sahabi had the vision to reclaim the 644 acre brownfield site and today, not only is it a successful redevelopment, it continues to strive for sustainability and is one of the most upscale and expensive communities in the region. Under the pilot program for LEED for Neighborhood Development, Dos Lagos community buildings are also being designed for LEED certifications. Join us on Oct. 17th as Mr. Sahabi shares with us his vision, the challenges to reach it, and his plans for the future.
